This bag is perfect! My cat is strictly indoor but is always curious about going outside. We knew she would love to go on walks just to see what is out there. She's a pretty big cat, so I wanted to make sure not only to find a bag with proper ventilation, but one where she would be comfortable. Enter this bag! She has plenty of room to be comfortable and there is also a good amount of ventilation in the bag when closed. The added buckles on the zipper entries gives me peace of mind -- just in case she gets a bright idea to try to open the zipper, but also just in case it slips. It is also comfortable enough that it works for bike rides as well!The added tunnel on the back of the bag is also great! She loved when I sat the bag down and opened up the back tunnel to let her explore a little more. Almost reminded me of a tiny catio!The construction of the bag is top notch. There is a nice cushion inside with a strap should you want to keep the top zipper open and attach the strap to a harness which feels pretty sturdy, though I haven't used it in that capacity. The plastic windows are nice and thick and the holes in them provides a good amount of air flow. The screened in top zipper enclosure feels very sturdy and works well as additional airflow. Finally, the back pop out area is not only sturdy, but easy to open and close because it functions like a pop up tent in a way. This would easily accommodate giving a cat food or water on a long walk or a small dog.Then there is the fact of whether the cat likes it or not? I left this sitting open and my cat just loves to jump in it and take a nap. She's not afraid of it like a normal pet carrier. She seems to like it!In all, purchasing this bag was one of the better decisions I could have made. You wont be disappointed.

Bought this after researching tens or hundreds of other pet carriers in a back pack style from low to high pricing. I purchased for my large cat (18lbs) to go with me on hikes. Took him out for a 3 mile walk and this carrier was comfortable for my cat. The shoulder straps are secure and seem sturdy but my one complaint is the strap padding could be better, after a mile my shoulders started to hurt but I slouch so I took that as a neutral "issue" rather than a deal breaker. I'm almost 6' tall and around 200lbs, This carrier is as wide as I am and as tall as my torso, So smaller people may struggle to find comfort with the carrier riding on the top of there buttocks; There is a little pad on the carrier back down there to aid your discomfort! If you dont need this massive carrier, look into their smaller scaled carriers. The extension/addition that folds out is sturdy and nice for pet lounging, Otherwise it can become a heat sink for all your body heat and make you sweat a lot in your back. All in all, these are typical experiences any pet owner should be willing to suffice to give their pet the best times possible. I looked high and low and it seems no one else has a pet carrier in a back pack style this large for any price..

@ozzythetravelcat on TikTok needed a travel backpack to join his rescue mom & dad on a trip to the Grand Canyon and Zion National Park. This backpack worked perfectly. The stitching is secure. The straps are comfortable and easily adjustable. Nothing broke on our week long trip. I purchased a foldable litter box that fit perfectly in the pop out section. I could close up the pop out with the portable litter box and never know it was there. Held my large water bottle perfectly. Ozzy was comfortable and had plenting of breathing air. In the summer it could get very hot inside even with the vents(just a heads up to be safe) over all this allowed us to have a safe and secure time traveling!

I ordered this to bring my best buddy/gallery director, @JustMerle with me on short walks and picnics in the small town we are in. It arrived quickly, is lightweight and folds really small and flat which is great for storage. It opens easily and is roomy enough for my chonky kitty who is probably around 12-15#. The back extension is roomy and not angled like many others. He walked right in and checked it out. The zippered areas are secure and the main one has a feature to keep him from opening the zippers. The side pockets are spacious and hold a phone, beverage, keys, money etc. There is a good mix of windows and screen areas so even on a hot day it should have plenty of ventilation.Many others I have seen have large clear window areas but not much screen areas and they often come with fans so I assume they can get pretty hot. He could stand up and lay down with plenty of room with the back extension closed. Many others available are smaller so check dimensions when shopping. I put this on in the front when I walked so I could monitor him better. It was comfortable and the straps adjusted to secure it to lessen bounce while walking. He did really well, I opened the extension when we got to the top of the hill and it was nice to have my friend with me while watching the sunset! He was calm and didn't seem like he felt trapped; he was just curious about what was around and all the sounds, birds etc. I expect on future trips he will settle and lay down or even nap.I am very happy with this product, the design, features, and quality. It has the best of just about all the various backpacks out there, all in one.Lots of people seem hesitant to get a soft sided backpack vs the spaceship type hard body versions available, but when I saw the reviews for this were just as good I ordered it and am so glad I did. You will not be disappointed if you order this! As a bonus, this can also be used for trips to the vet. They seem to prefer soft carriers rather than hard sided carriers and with this there are multiple access doors so the vet does not have to reach in for a scared cat. I will probably leave this out for him all the time to have a little hideaway of his own also.
